As many of you know, I participated in the contest for the best poster for the tour Pet Shop Boys Pandemonium Tour 2009. I became one of the winners of this contest. My work and thoughts on this subject in Design.
I have 3 absolutely different versions of this songs. That was the last I did. I still think about making mix to The way used to be and I can’t because I have no acapella of it. I still think Did you see me coming? would sound more tragically then it does. I’ve been thinking to call this mix Parkol No Hope Mix. I love Pets for their melancholy and I did my mix more sad. The mix is quite short because I deleted a solo part at the end.
These mixes were one of the hardest things I ever created. It was quite easy to begin and very hard to finish. I drawn few pictures for Nata, but she said she couldn’t repeat difficult elements, because we have no enough computer power for the high detailed 3D video. Art work was not easy, because I didn’t know what I really wanted.
I tried to find how Love etc would look if I put almost all song only on 4 chords. And I found it. I like how it sounds now and I hear another Love etc. Early version sounded more rock than pop and I modulate my own sound on my Nord Modular G2. Solo of if you can hear between couplets. “Don’t have to be” were on early version, but I gave up that idea. Original version sounds perfect and I understand why PSB spent so much time on it.
